One-Stop
Cellular is one of the largest privately held retailers of wireless
phones and pagers on the East Coast, with locations in Virginia,
North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. The company offers
products from all major manufacturers and has established relationships
with many of the most well-known wireless providers in the United
States. In addition to One-Stop Cellular, co-founders Scott Brooks
and Charles Fulp also have launched several other business ventures
– all from the Dan River Business Development Center
Incubator
role: DRBDC President Linda Hutson Green is one of One-Stop
Cellular’s biggest fans. “Linda works tirelessly to
help open doors and has been instrumental in many aspects of our
business,” Brooks says. “As a cheerleader for our company,
she has helped spread the word about our successes, even as we try
to remain low key.” It’s not surprising she wants others
to know about the company’s good news: Since One-Stop Cellular
joined the incubator in 2004, it has created more than 100 new jobs
in an area with one of the highest unemployment rates in Virginia.
