Westerheide brings a vast range of experience to Fusion and its portfolio companies. He has served large Fortune 500 companies and small startups. He has consistently exceeded revenue targets, by setting "on-the-mark" strategic directions and building market-validated technology solutions. Most recently, he was the senior vice president and CTO for Xcelerate Corporation where he was instrumental in growing the company from six to 350 employees and $40 million in revenue. As CTO for Xcelerate, he was responsible for developing and executing the technology direction and developing and maintaining key partnerships and joint ventures. Xcelerate has received 45 million in funding from idealab!, Bessemer Venture Partners, The Carlyle Group, and First Union. Westerheide has also created innovative go-to-market strategies and technical architectures for both dotCom and Fortune 1000 companies including, Tanning Technologies, BSG, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Royal Caribbean, Equifax, e-Exchange, Oxford Health Plans, CommerceScout and BellSouth. Westerheide has BS and BA degrees from Rice University.
