National Business Incubation Association; Your source for knowledge and networks in business incubation

CECT Information

As President of the Association of Cleantech Incubators of New England (ACTION), I was pleased to be able to attend NBIA's first Clean Energy/Clean Technology workshop and seminar in Baton Rouge and engage with other industry professionals from across the country in driving opportunities within and into the clean-tech sector. The speakers, panelists, presenters and hosts were all high caliber and well-prepared, and they provided interesting perspectives on the state of incubation within the clean-tech marketplace. The emphasis on regional cluster development was particularly insightful as that has been a primary focus of ACTION in collaboration with our regional partners. Michael Ryan, president and CEO of Accelerate Inc. – Operations and Technology Solutions, Upton, Mass.

The clean-tech incubator workshop was my first NBIA event. I was impressed and pleased by the diversity of workshop participants and the opportunity to meet and network with incubators from around the country. It was especially valuable and informative to participate in the workshop session by Jim Robbins. Overall, the NBIA staff did a great job hosting and organizing the event. Yiwei Chen, manager, public policy programs, NextEnergy, Detroit, Mich.
