Join NBIA in San
Jose
With a backdrop
of sun, entrepreneurial powerhouses and multiculturalism, the National Business
Incubation Association will present Innovate, Incubate, Accelerate,
NBIA's 15th International Conference on Business Incubation May 19-22. Mark
your calendars now to join us in San Jose, Calif., at The Fairmont Hotel for
the world's largest annual gathering of business incubation
professionals.
San Jose offers all the makings of a great conference
city. Money magazine ranks it the fifth best place to live in the United
States. That comes as little surprise, considering the city also is one of the
safest places to live in the country and the most pleasant. San Jose
averages 300 days of sunshine a year and has an average temperature of 60
degrees. Previously the center of a fruit-growing region, San Jose is now best
known for its booming technology industry in which business incubation
has played a major role. Nestled in the Silicon Valley, San Jose is the
nation's lead employer in four technology manufacturing sectors. One of every
four private sector workers in San Jose is employed at a high-tech firm. The
city's robust qualities don't stop there. San Jose also is one of the nation's
most culturally diverse cities, with a positively booming arts community
fueled in part by an NBIA award-winning arts incubation program.
For registered attendees
of the 2001 conference only, session
materials are available online, as well as an updated list of attendees
(PDF
version or MSWord
version), and a conference evaluation form (PDF
version or MSWord
version). Everyone can purchase audio tapes of the conference sessions
through http://www.aven.com.
