Conference 2003 Headquarters: The Richmond Marriott
The Richmond Marriott, conveniently located in the heart of historic downtown Richmond, Va., will serve as Conference 2003 headquarters. All conference sessions, workshops, receptions, keynote presentations and plenary sessions will be held at the hotel or the Greater Richmond Convention Center, adjacent to the hotel. Local attractions, including Richmond’s financial district, museums and shopping are a short walk away.
NBIA's
block of rooms at the Richmond Marriott has sold out. However, the nearby
Omni Richmond Hotel (see information below) will serve as overflow hotel
space for the NBIA conference. When making room reservations,
be sure to mention NBIA for discounted room rates of $119 per night. Reserve

Marriott Parking: Self-parking is $9 per night. Valet parking
is $12 per night. Parking lots are not owned by the hotel and prices

Overflow Accommodations: Omni Richmond Hotel
The Omni Richmond Hotel will serve as overflow hotel space for the
NBIA Conference. Transportation will be provided from the Omni to the
Marriott to accommodate NBIA conference attendees. NBIA attendees are

Getting to Richmond
American, Delta, Northwest, United, US Airways, Air Ontario, Continental and TWA provide domestic and international flights into Richmond International Airport (RIC).
When shopping for the most economical mode of travel, selecting a flight into another major international airport and then shuttling to Richmond via plane, train or bus might be less expensive. These alternative airports include: Baltimore-Washington (Baltimore), Washington Dulles (Washington, D.C.), Hartsfield Atlanta (Atlanta), John F. Kennedy (New York), LaGuardia (New York) and Newark Liberty (Newark, N.J.). Shuttle service options include short flights, Amtrak (train) and Greyhound Lines (bus). Transportation From Richmond International Airport to Conference Hotels
Groome Transportation provides car transportation between Richmond
International Airport and the Marriott and Omni hotels. Cost is approximately
$16 per person. Taxis also are available. Once in town, you’ll
have to arrange for taxi service by telephone or
through the concierge.
