NBIA Awards Luncheon
NBIA recognized outstanding incubators, client companies and graduates during Tuesday’s awards luncheon. Click here for more information about the award winners.

Jim Robbins and Thalia Mendez moderated the event. Robbins is the chairman of NBIA’s Board of Directors, and Mendez is the chairwoman of the NBIA membership committee and the second vice chairwoman of the NBIA Board.

The Industrial Technology Research Institute Incubator Center of Hsinchu, Taiwan, received the Randall M. Whaley Incubator of the Year award.




The Fulton-Carroll Center of the Industrial Council of Nearwest Chicago won the Incubator of the Year award.


The Southwest Michigan Innovation Center of Kalamazoo, Mich., won the Incubator Innovation Award for its on-site storeroom for scientific supplies.


Chlorogen, a client of the Nidus Center for Scientific Enterprise in St. Louis, won the Outstanding Incubator Client award in the technology category.



Cynergy Group of Baltimore, a client of the Emerging Technology Centers in Baltimore, won the Outstanding Incubator Client award in the manufacturing and services category.



Bacterin, a graduate of TechRanch in Bozeman, Mont., won the Outstanding
Incubator Graduate award in the technology category. This award was
sponsored by Turnstone, a Steelcase Company.
