Conference Updates
Hotel Update: The Drury Plaza Hotel Has Special NBIA Rates
NBIA has arranged special room rates at the Drury Plaza Hotel for conference
attendees. The hotel is located approximately one mile from the Hyatt
Regency, and only one block from the historic Gateway Arch.
Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-325-0720. The conference rate
is $113. Please be sure to mention that you are attending the NBIA conference.
Baseball tickets available
NBIA has a limited number of tickets available for the St. Louis Cardinals
game against the Washington Nationals on Saturday, April 29 –
the day before NBIA’s conference begins. The National League Central
Division champions have moved into a new downtown stadium for 2006,
and tickets for home games are scarce. If you are a baseball fan, this
is one event that you don’t want to miss!
Tickets are $18 and are available on a first-come, first-served basis
only to conference registrants. The game starts at 1:15 p.m. CST.
Please note: You are responsible for transportation to and from the
game. For more information or to request tickets, contact education@nbia.org.
Limit two tickets per request.
NBIA’s hotel group rate ends this week
April 7 is the final date to receive NBIA’s special group rate of $145 for a single or a double when you book a room at the conference headquarters hotel, the Hyatt Regency St. Louis. Make your reservations online at http://stlouis.hyatt.com/groupbooking/stlounbia2006 or by calling the hotel directly at (314) 231-1234 and asking for the NBIA conference rate.
Plans for first-ever NBIA Silent Auction are underway
Wouldn’t it be great to place the winning bid for a comfy new
Turnstone 319° office chair? Or how about a nice bottle of champagne,
Peachtree Accounting Software or even a bike? These are just a few of
the items that will be up for bid during the first-ever NBIA Silent
Auction. All proceeds go to NBIA’s Conference Scholarship Fund,
which will benefit first-time attendees who do not have the resources
to attend the NBIA conference without assistance.
If you would like to participate in this event as a donor, NBIA is currently
accepting items to auction. For more information, visit
www.nbia.org/events/conf2006/silent_auction.php or contact
Stephani Hatcher, NBIA’s director of development,
at shatcher@nbia.org or (740)
