Sheraton New Orleans Hotel
New Orleans, La.
Learn new techniques for better assisting your clients. Connect with the best minds in the business. Explore firsthand how some of the world’s most successful incubator managers operate their programs. NBIA’s International Conference on Business Incubation is the premier event for business incubation and entrepreneur support professionals. Whatever learning opportunities you’re looking for, this event has them.
And they’re all designed to help you gain the tools you need to recruit new clients, provide unparalleled assistance to them, and build a successful, sustainable program.
Get Involved! Moderate a Session
Our call for session proposals is over, but if you would like to help with conference sessions, we are looking for moderators to introduce speakers and facilitate question-and-answer periods. We are also seeking people to act as discussion leaders in our topical forums. If either of these jobs interests you, please contact us at email@example.com.
Two of the workshops offered at this event fulfill requirements for the NBIA Incubator Management Certificate Program. The Fundamentals of Incubator Management and Entrepreneurship are both scheduled for the Preconference Institute before the conference begins. Visit www.nbia.org/certificate for more information.
Are you interested in supporting entrepreneurs or building relationships with organizations that provide that start-up support? You’ll make valuable connections by sponsoring or exhibiting at NBIA’s conference. Contact Sheila Buckley, NBIA’s director of development, at firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more about conference sponsorship opportunities.
If you will be traveling to the United States from another country to attend the conference, you may need to obtain a nonimmigrant visitor's visa. NBIA advises visa applicants to start the approval process at least three months in advance of the event. Click here for more information and to request an official letter of invitation.
The Sheraton New Orleans Hotel is the official conference headquarters hotel. NBIA has secured a block of rooms at this hotel with a special rate of $199 per night for a single or double room. To book a room, call (888) 627-7033; be sure to mention the NBIA group rate. The online reservation page will be ready closer to the event.
The Sheraton New Orleans Hotel is ideally located on the border of the French Quarter, with easy access to museums, restaurants, shopping and many other attractions that New Orleans is known for. Learn more about visiting this city at www.neworleansonline.com.
New Orleans has a sense of place like no other point on the map. Located in a corner of the American South where European traditions blend with Caribbean influences, its history is as colorful as the local architecture; the food is the stuff of legend. Haitian and African Creoles developed an exotic, spicy cuisine and were instrumental in creating the jazz and Cajun Zydeco that help define the city’s rich culture today. It offers an impossible selection of celebrated attractions to explore – including the French Quarter, the Garden District and the beautiful St. Charles Avenue, lined with shady oaks, stately homes and historic mansions.
This storied city is also a place of growth, one that is increasingly becoming a hub of innovation.
Weather for the conference
With its humid, subtropical climate, New Orleans weather in general can be quite warm. Highs in May average around 85 degrees Fahrenheit (29 degrees Celsius), while lows average around 68 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees Celsius). Rain and thunderstorms are possible at this time of the year.
