San Diego
Enjoy Sunny San Diego!
The focus of the Fall Training Institute is learning, but be sure to
build in some time for fun while you’re visiting Southern California.
With its year-round mil temperatures and sunny skies, San Diego is
the perfect place to enjoy more than 70 miles of beaches, a variety
of outdoor activities, and numerous open-air shopping areas and restaurants.
You won’t have to go far from FTI headquarters to take advantage
of the warm weather and sandy beaches – the Catamaran is situated
on Mission Bay, a 4,200-acre park full of recreational options. With
27 miles of shoreline, the park is ideal for all kinds of water sports,
from a leisurely swim to zipping across the waves on a jet-ski. Landlubbers
can rent a bike and cruise the park’s miles of paved pathways,
play volleyball or simply soak up the sun.
Even if the beach isn’t your favorite scene, you’ll find
a myriad of things to do in San Diego. Visit Balboa Park, the country’s
largest urban cultural park, where you’ll find museums, botanical
gardens, theaters and more. If you’re a golf enthusiast, you’ll
want to check out one of the more than 90 courses in the San Diego area,
which Golf Digest ranked among the top 50 golf destinations in the world.
Or try your luck at one of the city’s eight casinos that offer
all types of gaming, such as slot machines, poker and off-track betting.
With all of this action, you’re sure to work up an appetite. Fortunately,
San Diego is home to more than 6,400 restaurants. Whether you’re
in the mood for traditional American fare or want to try some ethnic
cuisine, you’ll find something to suite your tastes. You’ll
also have plenty of options when it comes to atmosphere – you can
enjoy the intimacy of a dining room, the fresh air of an outdoor patio,
or the warm breezes of a yacht.
Don’t wait – start making your plans to come to San Diego
now! For information about activities, dining, shopping and more, go
