NBIA’s 20th Fall Training Institute

Sept. 13 – 15, 2010
Philadelphia, Pa.

NBIA’s Fall Training Institute offers targeted, in-depth training to incubation and economic development professionals. Our workshops provide strategies for effective entrepreneur support and techniques that will strengthen your incubation program. The 20th Fall Training Institute is scheduled for Sept. 13-15 at the Hyatt Regency in Philadelphia. This event will feature three workshops each day, with full-day workshops on Monday and Tuesday, and half-day workshops on Wednesday. Join NBIA in Philadelphia to attend workshops that will bring more value to your program.

Financial support is essential to any incubator or entrepreneur so this year’s event features three funding-focused workshops. An In-Depth Guide to Raising Millions for Your Incubator teaches you how to implement a successful fundraising initiative, while Finding and Keeping Good Sponsors demonstrates how to locate donors and maintain those relationships. Angel Investing Basics for Incubator Professionals provides an overview of the angel investing process to help incubation professionals assist clients with raising capital.

NBIA’s Certificate of Incubator Management program provides an overview of the essential skills necessary to run an incubation program. The workshops Serving Client Companies and Facilities Management fulfill two of the requirements of the certificate program. Serving Client Companies offers a look into the programs and services you can offer to help clients succeed. Facilities Management covers the fundamentals of managing the facility.

These are just a few of the workshops offered at this event. Read on to find out about the other workshops, which cover topics such as developing an incubator, taking your program to the next level, designing an incubator facility and measuring the impact of entrepreneurship in your community.
