I enjoyed the open collaborative discussions. I also like the fact that the attendees are senior and represent experienced incubation programs. – 2011 summit participant
What is the summit?NBIA’s Sixth Summit for Advanced Incubation Professionals is a members-only event for experienced incubation leaders (four years or more in the industry). This advanced forum provides a unique opportunity for veteran leaders to discuss, debate and exchange ideas about innovation, entrepreneurship and business incubation.
Attend the summit and you will have the opportunity to:
The Summit for Advanced Incubation Professionals is designed to allow business incubation experts to exchange knowledge and ideas about the industry. Every participant will have the opportunity to make the summit personally meaningful and valuable by sharing their interests, experience and expertise to guide the discussions.
The purpose of the summit is to provide a gathering place for experienced incubator managers to share lessons learned and ideas for advancing the industry. Past summit participants have said the reason they attend the summit is to take home new ideas to try in their incubation programs. Whether it's a new strategy for incubator sustainability, a technique for coaching clients or a tip for cutting expenses related to managing facilities, there is something for everyone.
In recognition of the incubation community's ingenuity, NBIA has created a fun new way to share innovative ideas through the Summit Showdown. After you register for the event, you will have the opportunity to submit your program's most innovative, creative and successful initiative. The top three submissions will pitch to a group of "investors" selected from the summit audience. After a round of questions, the "investors" will choose how much they would pay for each innovation, and the idea receiving the most "investment" will win. The winner of the Summit Showdown gets a free registration to NBIA's 26th International Conference on Business Incubation in Atlanta in May … and a free hotel suite at the event. The summit is open to all NBIA members who have worked in the incubation industry for at least four years. Registration is capped at 75 attendees, so sign up today to reserve your spot.
