Membership fees are not affected by your location. NBIA welcomes and serves members from around the world.
If your organization operates, sponsors or is developing an incubation program, or if you represent an economic development agency or other nonprofit organization, you are eligible to select one of the following three categories:
If your organization is a for-profit entity that is not developing or operating an incubator, the size of your organization will determine which of the following categories you may select:
If you are an individual who is not associated with a business incubation program (developing or operating) and you meet the criteria listed, you may join NBIA in one of these categories:

Eligibility:The joining organization operates, sponsors or is developing an incubation program, or represents an economic development agency or other nonprofit organization.
Number of people receiving full membership benefits: One (1). See Membership Benefits page for a complete listing of benefits.
Number of incubators eligible for a basic listing on the NBIA Links to Member Incubators page: One (1).
Annual dues: $295 (U.S. funds)
Additional members? Not applicable. If you would like more than one person in your organization to benefit from NBIA membership, consider joining in either the Select or Premium categories.
Eligibility:The joining organization operates, sponsors or is developing an incubation program, or represents an economic development agency or other nonprofit organization.
Number of people receiving full membership benefits: Three (3). See Membership Benefits page for a complete listing of benefits.
Number of incubators eligible for an enhanced listing on the NBIA Links to Member Incubators page: Two (2) – a primary incubation organization and one branch incubation organization. An enhanced listing allows the inclusion of a logo and a short paragraph describing each incubator.
Discount coupons: One (1). The primary member incubation organization receives one $50 coupon for use when buying books from the NBIA Bookstore or when registering for Webinars, the NBIA International Conference on Business Incubation, or other NBIA events. If not used, the coupon expires at the end of the organization’s 12-month membership period.
Annual dues: $425 (U.S. funds)
Additional members? If you would like more than three people in your organization to benefit from NBIA membership, you may add one or two additional individuals to your membership for just $25 each (up to a maximum of 5 total members). Simply choose the “Select +1” additional members category or the “Select +2” additional members category.
Eligibility:The joining organization operates, sponsors or is developing an incubation program, or represents an economic development agency or other nonprofit organization.
Number of people receiving full membership benefits: Twelve (12) – six (6) staff plus an additional six (6) board members or funders. See Membership Benefits page for a complete listing of benefits.
Number of incubators eligible for an enhanced listing on the NBIA Links to Member Incubators page: Three (3) – the primary incubation organization receives top billing and two branch incubation organizations receive an enhanced listing. An enhanced listing allows the inclusion of a logo and a short paragraph describing each incubator.
Discount coupons: Two (2). The primary member incubation organization receives two $50 coupons for use when buying books from the NBIA bookstore or when registering for Webinars, the NBIA International Conference on Business Incubation, or other NBIA events. If not used, the coupons expire at the end of the organization’s 12-month membership period.
BOD or Funder conference registration: 40% off one BOD or funder registration for NBIA’s International Conference on Business Incubation for each two paid conference registrations from the organization.
Annual dues: $795 (U.S. funds)
Additional members? If you would like more than 12 people in your organization to benefit from NBIA membership, you may add additional individuals to your membership for just $25 each. Simply choose the “Premium +1” additional members category for a 13th individual member or the “Premium +2” additional members category to add a 14th individual member. Eligibility:Joining organization is a for-profit entity that is not developing or operating a business incubation program and employs five or fewer staff.
Number of people receiving full membership benefits: Two (2).
Note: These two named members must have a formal relationship with your company, such as being staff, a board member or owner. The additional member might be physically located at a site different from the joining member’s location.

Annual dues: $550 (U.S. funds)
Eligibility: Joining organization is a for-profit entity that is not developing or operating a business incubation program and employs more than five staff.
Number of people receiving full membership benefits: Three (3).
Note: These three named members have a formal relationship with your company, such as being staff, a partner or a board member. The additional members might be physically located at a site different from the joining member’s location.

Annual dues: $1,100 (U.S. funds)
Eligibility: An individual who is retired from the business incubation or entrepreneur support industry who wants to stay involved with NBIA. To be eligible, he/she must no longer be working in the industry and earning no money in it, even a consulting role.
Annual dues: $99 (U.S. funds)
Eligibility: An individual who is a full-time undergraduate/graduate student and who is not employed in the business incubation or entrepreneur support industry (may be an intern). This category is not open to those employed in the industry who also attend college courses. Upon graduation or employment in the industry, individual must transfer out of this membership category.
Annual dues: $99 (U.S. funds)
Eligibility: An individual who is an instructor/professor in an undergraduate or graduate level school of business or entrepreneurship. This category is not open to those employed by a college/university that is developing or operating a business incubation program. If the college or university begins developing or operating a business incubation program, the individual must move out of this membership category into an organizational membership.
