Workshop Schedule

Certificate program training is offered at NBIA’s Preconference Institute (which is held in conjunction with its International Conference on Business Incubation each spring) and fall Training Institute (which is typically held in the fall). There’s no time limit on completing the program, but, with planning, you can finish your certificate in one calendar year (two NBIA events). The listing of events below will help you create the workshop strategy that makes the most sense in your situation. We will update the list with dates and locations of future evens as they become available.

Program participants must complete each workshop to fulfill certificate requirements. If you started the certificate program prior to June 2012, click here to learn about your options for completing certificate requirements.  

2013 – International Conference on Business Incubation (Boston, April 7-10)

  • Entrepreneurship
  • Serving Client Companies
  • The Fundamentals of Incubator Management

Please note: Entrepreneurship and The Fundamentals of Incubator Management will run on the same day (concurrently) at the Boston conference. If you are beginning the program at the conference and wish to complete your certificate at the 2013 Training Institute, we recommend you take Entrepreneurship and Serving Client Companies at the conference.

2013 – Training Institute (Fort Worth, Texas, Oct. 7-9)

  • The Fundamentals of Incubator Management
  • Facilities Management
  • Serving Client Companies

One workshop will be offered during each day of the Training Institute.

2014 – International Conference on Business Incubation (New Orleans, May 18-21)

  • Entrepreneurship
  • The Fundamentals of Incubator Management

One workshop will be offered during each day of the Preconference Institute.

2014 – Training Institute (Dates and location to be determined)

  • Serving Client Companies
  • Entrepreneurship

2015 – International Conference on Business Incubation (Denver, April 26-29)
