Extend Your Stay in Jamaica

Jamaica has many beautiful resorts and coastal cities. After attending three days of intensive business incubation training, visit one of these fabulous destinations and relax. Great Vacations, a tour operator based in Kingston, offers tour packages to the destinations described below. For information about Great Vacations’ Tours, visit www.greatvac.com or e-mail Rowena Minott at rminott@greatvac.com. For general information about visiting Jamaica, visit www.visitjamaica.com.

Montego Bay
Located on the northwest shoreline of Jamaica overlooking the deep blue waters of the Caribbean Sea, Montego Bay is Jamaica's second largest city. There are more hotels in Montego Bay than in any other Jamaican city. Spend a day in the sun on boats of any shape or size and then watch the sun disappear beneath the horizon while you enjoy an evening cruise. On land you may want to visit the Rose Hall Great House (reported to be haunted) or the Parish Church, built in 1795 in nearby Falmouth.

Negril
Negril is located on Jamaica's western tip. Its 7-mile white sand beach extends from Bloody Bay to the Negril lighthouse. Negril is rich in history—the infamous pirate Calico Jack was captured there in 1720 and the Walt Disney movie Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea was filmed there. Activities in the seaside resort of Negril include horseback riding, bicycling on its many bluffs, and a wide variety of water sports including kayaking, snorkeling, diving and skiing. Negril also offers excellent shopping and dining choices.

Ocho Rios
Ocho Rios is located on the northern coast of Jamaica. This city is famous for its stunning waterfalls, white sand beaches and fern gardens. Ocho Rios highlights include street markets, craft fairs and jazz festivals, as well as opportunities for river rafting, horseback riding, offshore fishing or snorkeling.

Port Antonio
One of the best-kept secrets in the Caribbean has always been Port Antonio. Its surrounding area offers visitors unparalleled natural beauty: rugged coastlines, romantic beaches, hidden coves, rivers, and waterfalls, all set against the spectacular backdrop of the Blue Mountain range. Visit quiet, rural Port Antonio to see one of the most beautiful harbors in the Caribbean, historical streets and buildings, and natural beauty.
