NBIA takes your privacy seriously. Please read
the following to learn more about how we treat the personal information
that we collect from you when you use NBIA products and services.
This privacy statement describes NBIA's treatment
of nonpublic personal information that we collect when we provide
you with NBIA products and services (such as NBIA publications and
events). If you are a former user of an NBIA product or service,
we will continue to treat the nonpublic personal information we
collected from you in the same manner described here.
NBIA collects nonpublic personal information,
such as your name, address, and other information about you and
your company, when you apply for, register for, or use an NBIA product
or service. NBIA may also collect this same nonpublic personal information
about you from our business partners. In addition, NBIA's Web server
automatically receives and records information on our server tags
from your browser including your IP address, NBIA cookie information
and the page you requested from your Web browser.
NBIA may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to
nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law, such as when:
we have your consent to share the information; we need to share
the information to provide the product or service you have requested;
we need to send the information to companies who work on behalf
of NBIA to provide a product or service to you (unless we inform
you otherwise, these companies do not have any right to use the
nonpublic personal information we provide to them beyond what
is necessary to assist NBIA in the delivery of products or services
you request); or we respond to subpoenas, court orders or legal
process.
NBIA members, as a part of membership, will have their complete
contact information (name, organization name, address, phone number,
fax number and e-mail address) listed on the NBIA Web site in
a password-protected area limited for NBIA members' exclusive
use. NBIA member incubators' names, telephone numbers, mailing
address and Web site addresses are included in a public area of
NBIA's Web site. Members can request to be excluded from both
of these listings.
From time to time, NBIA will rent or trade mailing lists with
other organizations. The information on the mailing list is limited
to name, organization name and address.
We restrict access to your nonpublic personal information to those employees who reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.
