chairman of Tokio Marine Capital Co., Ltd., will discuss methods
for revitalizing the Japanese economy during a presentation entitled
"Japan's Challenge: Economic Reforms Under a New Cabinet
and the Increasing Role of Business Incubation and Entrepreneurship."
Nakagawa will present his keynote address
during a Sunday evening reception hosted by the Japan Association
of New Business Incubation Organizations (JANBO). During his presentation,
Nakagawa will also discuss the "big picture goal" for
achieving an entrepreneurial society by 2010 recently developed
by JANBO.
JANBO began operations in 1999 with
the support of Japan's Ministry for International Trade and Industry
(MITI), which was recently renamed the Ministry of the Economy,
Trade and Industry (METI).
Tokio Marine Capital is the venture
capital fund run by Japan's largest insurance company. Prior to
joining Tokio Marine Capital, Nakagawa served for 30 years as
vice minister for international affairs at MITI.
