Council on Competitiveness Sponsors Study on Regional High Tech GrowthJanuary 15, 2002The Council on Competitiveness, a Washington D.C. based think tank, will sponsor a year-long study on the importance of regional clusters in high-tech economic growth. Six cities will be observed in the study, including Austin, Texas, and the Research Triangle area in North Carolina. The project's starting point will include a large-scale map, created by a renowned Harvard Business School professor, Michael Porter, that identifies industrial concentrations nationwide.
