June 10: This is the last day to participate in NBIA’s 2003
board elections. Don’t miss the chance to exercise your right
as an NBIA member and vote for five members of the NBIA board of directors.
The NBIA board helps steer the direction of the association and represents
a cross section of the incubation industry. The only way the board’s
success and diversity can be ensured, however, is if members participate
actively in the election process. To vote, visit
www.nbia.org/get_involved/election/ or contact
Raji
Rangan at
rrangan@nbia.org or (740) 593-4331 for a
fax ballot.
June 22-25: The Biotechnology Industry Organization’s (BIO)

Sept. 13-16: The National Association of Development
Organizations (NADO) will host its 36th Annual Training Conference
in Minneapolis.
This year’s NADO conference will provide executive directors,
staff, board members and local elected officials with tools to strengthen
and expand their regional organizations’ ability to handle a
wide range of challenges. Participants will learn about successful
regional programs and find out how peers responded to and resolved
specific problems. For information, visit, www.nado.org/meetings/atc03web.pdf.
Oct. 27-30: The National Science Foundation, in association with the

other Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) agencies, is sponsoring
the 2003 National Fall SBIR/STTR Conference. Program managers and agency
