NBIA Partners With VC Experts to Assist Incubators and Their Clients

The National Business Incubation Association (NBIA) has formed a partnership with VC Experts Inc., the leading provider of content, data and analytics for the venture capital community. Under the agreement, NBIA members and their client companies will receive discounted rates on VC Experts' Web-based systems. NBIA members can purchase access to the services for their clients and the incubator at the discounted rate of $495 per year. This partnership is one of several offered to NBIA members and their client companies through the NBIA Partner Program.

The National Business Incubation Association (NBIA) has formed a partnership with EquityNet, the leading peer-to-peer e-marketplace for business analysis, capitalization and support. Under the agreement, NBIA member business incubators and their client companies will receive discounted rates on EquityNet’s marketplace and research service offerings.

The National Association of Seed and Venture Funds (NASVF) and the National Business Incubation Association (NBIA) are joining forces to create more opportunities to link investors with entrepreneurs. The two associations have signed an MOU and a created a dual membership to increase education and communication among members of both organizations.
NBIA Names New President and CEO

David Monkman - a business development professional with more than 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, specialist in emerging businesses and financial analyst - has been named president & CEO of the National Business Incubation Association, effective Aug. 17. Monkman will succeed Dinah Adkins, who is retiring as NBIA's chief executive after 21 years.

Ohio's business incubation programs - including those supported by the state's Edison Technology Incubator Program - have a long track record of assisting start-up and emerging businesses. However, entrepreneurs in many Ohio counties don't have access to business incubation services to help their firms succeed, according to a newly released study.
