A panel of experienced business incubator managers has selected the most recent recipients of the NBIA Soft Landings International Incubator designation for 2009-11.
The Venturelab Twente Incubator of Enschede, Netherlands, and the Rotherham Investment and Development Office (RIDO) Managed Business Centre of Rotherham, England, U.K., earned the Soft Landings designation for the first time. ATP Innovations of Eveleigh, New South Wales, Australia, and the Commercialization Center for Innovative Technologies of North Brunswick, N.J., earned renewals of their Soft Landings designations.
Now in its fifth year, NBIA’s Soft Landings program recognizes incubators with proven ability to help nondomestic companies enter the incubator’s domestic market. NBIA’s Soft Landings designations are effective for two years; programs must reapply biennially for continuing designation. The selection of the two new designees brings the total number of programs earning the Soft Landings designation to 16.
The next deadline for Soft Landings applications will be June 11, 2010. For more information, visit www.nbia.org/member_services/soft_landings.
